$1M Lottery Jackpot: Winthrop Winner Eyeing Future With His Newfound Cash

Amjad Rubieh, of Winthrop, won the seven-figure payout on the "$10,000,000 Cash King,” a $20 scratch-off game.

Rubieh elected to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity, which would have paid the full prize over 20 years. 

He said he plans to invest the money. 

Rubieh bought the ticket at Saratoga Market, 16 Trident St. in East Boston. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
